Education and Early Experience
Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Haley Kubinak began her academic journey on the Southeastern coast, earning an honors degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Neuroscience from UNC Wilmington. Her deep interest in the brain-body connection inspired her to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she continued to explore the mind-body relationship through evidence-based, compassionate care.
A clinical rotation in San Diego sparked a love for California, ultimately leading her to the Central Coast — a place that feels both grounding and inspiring. Haley has had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including both orthopedic and neurological patients, with a focus on improving function, confidence, and overall well-being.
At Embody Health & Wellness, she combines clinical expertise with a whole-person approach, meeting each patient where they are on their healing journey. Outside the clinic, you’ll find her immersed in nature — surfing, hiking, and soaking in the beauty of the coast she now calls home.
Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Haley Kubinak believes that healing is most powerful when it honors both the body and the mind. With a strong foundation in neuroscience and exercise science, she approaches physical therapy through a lens of curiosity, connection, and compassion. Haley views every patient as a whole person — not just a diagnosis — and tailors care to meet their unique needs, goals, and lived experiences.
Her passion for the brain-body connection drives her to look deeper than symptoms alone. Whether working with someone recovering from an injury, navigating chronic pain, or rebuilding strength after a neurological event, Haley integrates thoughtful movement, mindful education, and therapeutic partnership into every session.
Haley’s goal is to empower her patients — helping them feel seen, understood, and capable. She believes that true progress comes not only from physical change, but also from gaining confidence, building awareness, and reconnecting with one’s sense of self. At Embody, she creates a safe, supportive space where patients can move forward with clarity, strength, and hope.
